Diners rave about the unique flavors, including vegan options, and the friendly atmosphere is a highlight. However, some patrons have noted occasional service inconsistencies and longer waiting times, particularly during peak periods. The café's organization, with efficient order collection, enhances the experience, though the need for improved outdoor seating has been mentioned. Overall, it's an ideal stop for families, especially those with young children, and remains a strong contender amidst the town's dining options.
At first, I was going to write a 5-star review, but I was utterly disappointed by the rude customer service from the manager in the end towards young people. The treatment I received from the manager was appalling, DISRESPECTFUL and unwelcoming. My friend paid for a £1.50 tea but ended up spilling it before he could drink it as the lid wasn 't sealed properly on the cup, and he ended up with a burn on his hand. At first, the manager gave a gesture of goodwill by giving us another one but then started criticising us young people that we got given a 'free ' drink and for stealing the business by borrowing a few stools that we returned and wasn 't needed at all the entire time! This experience ruined our entire Hebden Bridge journey. If your visiting Hebden bridge, there are MANY better alternatives in town that are kind and welcoming.
The ice creams at this restaurant are delightful! They offer a variety of unique flavors, some of which are vegan friendly. There may not be enough outdoor seating, but if you manage to find a seat on a nice day, seize the opportunity!
Found Park Life on Tripadvisor when looking for somewhere to bring my two year old niece for a morning out. We chose this place because it was in a park which she loves. Staff were lovely and friendly. The food was delicious, lovely thick bread. Everyone who had the sausage said it was beautiful. The only thing that stopped me giving a 5 was it took a while for it all to be ready but I appreciate that's because it was being freshly prepared, we wouldn't have cared about that it we didn't have a fractious toddler to amuse! They also had lots of books for kids to read which really helped keep the little one entertained.
Me and Mr S out for an early walk stopped here for tea and 'breakfast '. I had tea and a well done bacon sandwich, Mr S a herbal tea and a caramel and ginger ice cream. Food fantastic drinks delicious... Coul have cried the ice cream was so tasty!! Staff friendly and helpful. Clean and quirky well worth a visit, dog friendly too for those of you bringing a four legged pal yes they are allowed in if on a lead. The outside area is covered so you can sit out without getting wet.. Definitely worth a visit...
We visited on a lovely summer day They were very organised. You ordered at one side and they gave you a number. They shouted your number out and you collected your order at the other side. This is OK but I only ordered an ice cream cornet and I waited 25 mins for it. They have a separate hatch for ice cream which wasn't in use. They need to do the ice cream separate or they will lose custom
