Unfortunately, her meal was forgotten at first, and when it did arrive, it was missing some items. My brother-in-law was not impressed with his salmon dish, as the tomatoes were not roasted as described. When he brought this up, his meal was promptly replaced. Overall, the food was okay, but a bit expensive for what it was. However, the staff were attentive and caring. They went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied, even taking two meals off the bill due to mistakes. I praised our waiter, who was on his third shift, for his excellent service. He even gathered the staff to sing happy birthday to my niece, making her day special. While the food was mediocre, the outstanding service from the staff will make me consider returning to Frankie and Benny's, especially since I have young children and nieces and nephews. The staff's dedication in Halifax made the experience memorable.
I recently visited Frankie and Benny's in Halifax and was disappointed with the overall experience. Despite being described as a 'posh McDonalds', I found it to be nothing more than an expensive version with slightly better decor. The service was poor, with a miserable waiter rushing to take our drinks order before we even had a chance to sit down. After asking for a few minutes to decide, he never returned and I had to flag down another staff member for assistance. Our starters arrived before our drinks, which I had to remind them about. The food was bland and unimpressive, and some of the ingredients appeared to be past their prime. To make matters worse, the whole restaurant was shut down by Environmental Health shortly after my visit. I would recommend trying other dining options in the area before considering Frankie and Benny's at Broad Street Plaza.
The food and service at this restaurant were excellent. I will definitely be calling again.
