Wild Bean Cafe - Cairns

The selection of meals was varied and interesting, food presented delicious and appetit, environment beautiful, staff very helpful

We ate here twice and both meals were very good. The burger (possibly homemade) was very tasty, my wife raved about the salads and the panko crumbed eggplant very good. Coffee was nice. Staff were pleasant.

The Wild Bean Café is a logical spot for lunch when visiting the Cairns Botanic Gardens. We have dined there on a number of occasions when we have been in Cairns. I would have to say though that the gardens are the attraction not the...café. The venue was a bit crowded the day we went this time but we found a table and cleared it ourselves while we waited. You order inside the café so it is necessary to leave someone holding the table for you. We ordered various salads and fish from the specials board. The meals were slow coming; fortunately we were in no real hurry. The meals were tasty and well presented, although a bit predictable. It is not easy making salad and chips exciting. The coffee was fine and the prices reasonable so we walked away satisfied. You do not have many options for a meal at the Gardens so the Wild Bean Café is it.

I had made a long walk from the city to the gardens, so I thought I deserved a morning tea! the caffe is located at the rande of the gardens, so was shady and cool. I ordered a coffee and a carrot cake and...both were so delicious. then I was refreshed by my walk so I could continue through the gardens to enjoy the beautiful environment.

Just delicious food! since 2012 we are here, always a great meal, in a great location! fantastic coffee too!
