What Annette Auer likes about Ganbaranba Noodle Colosseum:
We waited min to get a seat as this place was quite popular. We ordered one mugen, one genten (both tonkotsu based broth) with medium firm noodle and a plate of gyoza. When the ramen arrived I noticed the broth wasn’t hot enough (temperate...wise) for my liking but the food was otherwise okay. Good service. View all feedback. What Christos Westphal doesn't like about Ganbaranba Noodle Colosseum:
Wanted to see what the hype was about, since there were a few people queuing to get in. Was a little disappointed. The ramen was not even close to what was served in Japan. It is more like the ramen from a 2 minute noodle packet. Had to ask the waiter twice to take our order, then only to be rushed out after our meal. The goyzas tasted pre-packaged frozen stuff you get at your local Asian supermarket. View all feedback.

read moreGanbaranba in Cairns is a Japanese noodle shop that has been getting a lot of buzz lately. While some patrons were disappointed with their ramen and gyoza, others found the dishes to be fresh and delicious. The restaurant is owned and run by Japanese staff, giving it an authentic touch. The small space tends to get crowded, but the quick service makes it worth the wait. The menu is straightforward, the staff is efficient and polite, and the food is top-notch. With a mix of positive and negative reviews, Ganbaranba seems to be a hit or miss, but worth a visit for those craving a traditional Japanese meal experience.
