Barassis Restaurant at Cazalys Cairns

What a great night, a great selection of meals and drinks as well as entertainment with friendly staff, what more they need.

Have been numerous times, foods always good, menu selection varied. Good to see some favourites still on menu also.

We ordered our meal at 8 pm at 8.35pm I went up and was told it would be another 10 minutes. I went up again At 9pm and was then told that they lost the order. So I chose to then have roast as it...was getting late. We were not offered any refund for our inconvenience. When we got the roast meals they were cold and had to get them to heat up in the microwave.my issue is they had an opportunity to check the order R 8.35 but chose not to. When I challenged the staff at the 1 Hr point I was told that she was not dealing with the problem before. Very poor service.

We met friends for dinner on a Friday night. They had a band playing to entertain members and their guests. Service was slow but they were quite busy. Meals were a decent size and reasonably priced. My Caesar Salad tasted good :

Went to Cazalys for Sunday Buffet it was OK. Choice of fried eggs, scrambled eggs, hasbrowns, sausages, bacon, toast, crossiants .... all the normal buffet breakfast offerings. It is inexpensive between $10 $15 depending if you are a member. If you have a hungry...tribe easy to fill them. Resturant seating is modern and comfortable. There is a large kids playground to keep them entertained. The operating hours for the breakfast buffet are limited and is offered on Sunday only, so make sure you check out the opening times early (it was from 9am to 10:30am when I visited).
