Barassis Restaurant - Cairns

We had driven home from Townsville in the pouring rain and unpacked and were exhausted so decided to go out for a quick meal. You can't go past Cazayls on a Sunday night. You can get a roast meal and a free dessert for $16.00! It is quick, easy parking, delicious, healthy and cheap. I got a great orange, ginger and pineapple juice and pavlova for dessert. What more could you want for? There was plenty of comfortable, relaxed seating in a relaxed atmosphere. Simply the best!

We have eaten here on a number of occasions and have never had a bad meal. The bistro seats about 1000 people and every time we have eaten there it has been very busy, a good sign of the quality. Don't worry about the long queues at the tills as service is very quick and the meals are served not long after you order. The staff are all friendly and helpful. Possibly our favourite place to eat in Cairns.

The menu is excellent and the prices are affordable. There are plenty of options, including many gluten-free and vegetarian choices. The restaurant and parking can get crowded on some evenings, but overall it is a fantastic place to dine. They have a children's entertainment area, live bands, raffles, and member draws. I highly recommend it!

I had the best pork ribs in Cairns, but the sauce was terrible. I'm sure you can make a better one on your own, as the canned sauce just doesn't cut it.
