Rocco - Cairns City (QLD)

Bit disappointing experience. Very excited for our last evening dinner in Cairns. Positives: view is beautiful and wait staff was fine/good. Menu very limited options and neither of us saw anything of great appeal. Spicy hummus was good but the salad and the eggplant dish were bland and not at all our taste profile. Frankly, just not good. Disappointing for over $100 meal.

I had high expectations based on the reviews, but unfortunately my husband did not enjoy his beef cheeks. The mushroom dish I ordered was delicious. The restaurant is located by Bokarina Beach, and it was a very cold night. We sat outside without any wind protection, so our food got cold quickly. We even saw a couple bring a blanket from their car to stay warm. Be warned, it can get chilly if you're not sitting inside.

This restaurant in Cairns is fantastic and stylish. The rooftop view is stunning and the food is delicious and high quality. It's a perfect spot for a date, anniversary, or special occasion. Definitely one of the best restaurants in Cairns. The only downside is that there could be more regular chairs instead of just high stools and tables, which can be a bit uncomfortable. The staff are friendly and welcoming, though they can be a bit slow when busy. We had to wait over 40 minutes for our second round of drinks and additional meals, despite reminding them a few times. Despite this, I would still go back to dine again.

As you enter the tower and take the elevator to Level 12, you will find Rocco, a restaurant with a cozy atmosphere perfect for couples or groups. The live DJ begins playing around 9pm on Saturday nights, making it a highly recommended spot for a delicious meal and a fun night out.
