Initially the... read more I was on holiday visiting Cagliari for a few days and my partner and I were advised to go to Ristorante Ammentos to try typical Sardinian Cuisine. Initially there was a bit of misunderstanding created by a reservation that my partner made via tripadvisor. Apparently we had a discount of 20 euros for the first booking made with the company. But, it turned out that we stumbled into a same name restaurant somewhere in northern Italy. It wasn’t the discount we were looking for, of course we just wanted to eat. Luckily we were seated, although the restaurant only accepted booking only. I was amazed by the so-called ‘purceddu’, which is baby pig, crispy and tender as well as succulent and juicy. The roasted potatoes that went with it were perfect. Nonetheless, the soup of snails, which was my starter was delicious and I’ll remember its spicy and yet juicy flavours. If you’re in the city give it a go!

Food wa... read more Amazing food and friendly staff. What a great place to enjoy Sardinian food. We had Sardinian Macarone with sausage and Fregula with roasted vegetables. Food was awesome. We are going back to try the Sardinian dumplings with Prato and mint next
