Risca Fish Bar captivates customers with its renowned chips and friendly service, often praised for their deliciousness and perfect cooking. Most patrons agree on the subpar quality of fish, citing issues like overly hard batter and stingy portions. Despite inconsistent experiences with the fish and some complaints about hygiene practices, many recommend the place for its excellent chips and favorable Covid precautions. Regular visitors find comfort in the familiar flavors and service, with some eagerly planning return visits. Overall, while the fish may leave room for improvement, the chips keep diners coming back for more.

Was Anonym at Risca Fish a mag?
After watching a rugby game, we went to the main street and decided to go to the risca fish bar to get our dinner. which none of us expected to buy chips that had been cooked to absolute perfection. they were great: so good that three of our group went back. the other things we had were good, but the chips made the meal. What Anonym dislikes about Risca Fish:
I thought I had found a good chip until a day in jan 22 I ordered my usual with a butter roll. on this day a young man worked there. I asked for a roll and he took it up with his bare hands. that's when covid was high. Lockdown to Wales finished on the 12th April. We were at the Risca Fish Bar on the 15th ! Good Covid precautions were in place and well instructed. Having waited many months we made the trip to Wales at out earliest opportunity to enjoy lunch...from the Risca Fish Bar. We were not disappointed, we never are. Excellent fish and chips and the compulsory Irish Curry sauce. Well worth the trip as always and we shall make the trip again soon.

Had what looked to be a nice size peice if cod, was dissapointed to find it was all batter and very little fish. Chips are nice but very stingy portions for the price. Average at best.
