Description

Nestled in a charming locale, this café offers a cozy atmosphere perfect for catching up with friends. Visitors appreciate the beautiful decor and friendly service; however, there are mixed feelings about the food, which, while visually appealing, can lack substance. Despite some disappointing experiences with service, the café has garnered praise for its delightful afternoon teas, delicious homemade soups, and tasty sandwiches. Guests also enjoy browsing the gift shop downstairs, featuring high-quality items. Overall, this establishment stands out for its inviting ambiance and dedication to customer satisfaction, making it a delightful stop for gifts or a casual meal.

We went to this café for lunch and thoroughly enjoyed the delicious and beautifully presented food. The staff were extremely polite and friendly. We will definitely be coming back as it is also great value for money.

If you're looking to catch up with friends in a cozy atmosphere, this place is suitable. The decor is nice and the service is adequate. However, the food was underwhelming. While the presentation was fancy, there was little substance in the dishes. My sandwich tasted like it could have been made with cheap supermarket bread. On the positive side, the gift shop downstairs is worth checking out.

I highly recommend this restaurant for a delicious and casual lunch. They offer homemade soups, tasty sandwiches, and toasties all served with a side salad and coleslaw. The coffee is excellent, and the staff is very friendly. I am a frequent visitor to this lovely establishment.

This is my favourite little coffee shop in the whole of Caerphilly. It has such a lovely character and friendly staff. When I visit from Surrey I tend to visit everyday. The food is reasonable priced and I love how the coffee comes with a little biscuit. In addition the staff are so accommodating, when my daughter was sick in the cafe they let my partner change her in the staff toilets. In addition, I lost my purse and they kept it and contacted me to tell me they found which was a great relief.

Lovely for brunch lunch this little gem hides in a higher end gift jewellery shop just off Blackwood High St. I live locally and (as a rule) if I need a special gift for someone, I come here. They stock beautiful cards gifts as well as ranges like Nomination Kath Kitson. Tables are available downstairs in a mezzanine level above serving light bites from tea, toast a poached egg to full on afternoon tea (pre booking required for the afternoon tea).
