I heard such wonderful things about this winery,... read more Me and my husband Jeff live in Alamogordo, but we stay at the lake and the hot springs every year at this time. I heard such wonderful things about this winery, so I didn’t want to go home without visiting this beautiful place. Immediately upon arrival, we were greeted by warm smiling faces. Just like the other reviews I read, we were made to feel right at home. The owner even gave Jeff a tour. The nicest people work here! As if the wine and great conversation wasn’t enough, they had a special celebration event going on, and they had free food and karaoke. We ended up staying past closing, because we had the opportunity to meet some amazing people. I ended up bringing back five bottles of wine, and they gave us some beautifully decorated wine glasses, which came with our purchase. This family run place really puts their heart into each and every bottle of wine they make. Another thing we loved about this charming winery in addition to the atmosphere was that it’s also dog-friendly. I only wish I could rate it more than 5 stars, because everything about Shattuck Vineyards is fantastic. They really made it a fun day for us. ???
