Lavant comptoir Situated in the Odeon area of the rive gauche in Paris, this little standing only comptoir is a culinary delight. Friendly and informal.

Their food quality always good. Pretty cheap for Burwood dining but very slow. If you are in a rush, you cannot come here. Unless you order in advance then it's okay. I think they are running it as a family restaurant so unfortunately no professional training at all. My favourites are chicken parmigiana and grilled chicken with creamy mushroom sauce. Their chips are also very crunchy.

When I walked in here sort of expected a decent coffee but was rather disappointed. The guy took ages to serve though the place was almost empty and then the coffee was pretty average. To compound things it took him forever to give me a receipt at the end.
