This is a fantastic restaurant! The personal pizza is reasonably priced, and the atmosphere is enjoyable. Their gyro sandwich is served on homemade pita bread. You order at the front, and they'll bring your food to your table. For non-alcoholic drinks, they don't offer a fountain, but they do have freshly brewed sweet tea and canned soda available for purchase. Overall, great food and great prices! View all feedback.
What Ryan Dube doesn't like about Hog Hollow Wood Fired Pizza, Inc.:
However, when the pizza arrived, I could barely manage two bites before letting my wife finish it. At 45 years old, I can confidently say it was the worst pizza I have ever tasted. It had a thin crust topped with what seemed like nutritional yeast instead of cheese, and just a sprinkling of spinach—no sauce at all. We asked for some sauce and received a tiny 1 oz container. I’m not sure if sauce is particularly price... View all feedback.
1) There's a serious lack of flexibility with toppings. You can't even order sausage on just half the pizza. If you have kids and Johnnie wants sausage while Sally wants cheese, tough luck. There's no kids' menu, so you'll find yourself needing to order separate pizzas. 2) Everything is overpriced for what is essentially mediocre food. The pizza was disappointing—soggy and flimsy yet burnt at the same time. My son's wings were also burnt. I ordered a side salad and a gyro, but it felt like they just tossed a bunch of pizza toppings into a pita and called it a meal. It barely felt worth $5, yet I ended up paying around $13. 3) To add insult to injury, they expect you to bus your own table. This felt particularly disrespectful after spending so much on underwhelming food. Initially, I left this review for Home Place Brewing since they seem interconnected. The owner responded sarcastically, claiming they are separate entities. However, it was HOME PLACE Brewery that showed up on my credit card statement.
If you're in search of a place with a great atmosphere, outdoor seating, dog-friendly options, and a variety of local beers, this is the spot for you. However, if you're craving a burger, you might want to look elsewhere. My daughter and I ordered burgers, as we weren't in the mood for pizza, but unfortunately, our burgers arrived burnt and dry, which was quite disappointing. On the other hand, my husband ordered a pizza and raved about how fantastic it was. From the looks of it, it did appear delicious. This is why my review is mixed—if you're after pizza, this is the place to be! But for burgers, I would recommend exploring other options.
We ordered two 9-inch pizzas, and both were excellent! The crusts were crispy, and the toppings tasted fresh. The service was incredibly friendly, and the atmosphere was casual and dog-friendly. We will definitely be returning!
The owner should work on being more customer-friendly. My friends ordered two smash burgers after I finished my salad, and I had to check on their order since there was no update. Perhaps the staff was overworked due to the holiday. The manager's attitude was rather unfriendly; a simple smile can go a long way. I understand that smash burgers are supposed to be smashed, but they shouldn’t be charred on both sides. It’s a shame.
Charming pizza spot located within a brewery. The food was tasty and served promptly. The pizza featured a great crust and flavorful sauce. While I wasn't a fan of the Brussels sprouts, my friend absolutely enjoyed them. There are seating options both inside and outside, with the main level offering a spacious area that includes grassy spots, picnic tables, and a fire pit (though it wasn't in use during my visit due to the warm weather). It's a counter service setup, meaning you place your order, and your food is brought to you. The staff was incredibly friendly and ensured that they cleaned and wiped down tables between customers, which isn't always the case with counter service. There's ample parking available, and it's conveniently located in downtown, making it easy to explore nearby shops. If you're in Burnsville, it's definitely worth a visit!
