Laura's Pizzeria And Trattoria

I placed an online order through the restaurant's website and drove 40 minutes to pick it up in Mars Hill, only to find that the restaurant was closed with no notice on their website. Their online ordering system went live at noon and accepted my order at dinner time without any notification that orders would not be accepted. There was a hand-written sign on the window stating that they were closed for building repairs, but this information was not available anywhere online. This lack of communication is unacceptable and resulted in a waste of gas. Interestingly, I later discovered on their Facebook page that they had been closed since at least September, giving them plenty of time to update their website and pause ordering services.

I really enjoy the thin crust pizza at this restaurant. The service can be a bit slow, but that's only because they are short-staffed. However, the delicious food more than makes up for it, and the staff try their best. I also love the outdoor patio, which is not located on a busy street, making it a tranquil dining experience. The pasta dishes are also excellent, with the pesto being my personal favorite.

The menu is fantastic! The outdoor deck is lovely and the staff is excellent. The seafood soup was delicious and the tiramisu was exceptional!

We were excited to try this eatery in our hometown unfortunately we left disappointed. We hate driving over an hour to eat decent and was looking forward to trying Laura's. No side options with pasta dishes, menu prices do not match what they charge, no kids menus, slow service (over an hour to get our food), had to send one appetizer back as it was not good at all and be careful in the bathroom my son burned his hand on the hot water because it's not labeled. The waitress seemed clueless as to why pricing didn't match the menu and she made it right. We were underwhelmed and will not be back. No bread, no side salads or side options for your pasta dishes?

Had the antipasto salad. Good, fresh, meal size. Good service, casual place with inside outside seating. Only complaint- no bread,crackers or croutons with salad. Overall, good choice, will be back
