The food is outstanding. Small venue. Well worth a trip to eat. I had the Cast Iron Flatbread and it sounded different but the flavors blended for a flavorful medley in your mouth. Highly recommend. View all feedback.
What J P doesn't like about Cast Iron Kitchen:
We try to support the locals but this was our first and last time here. My wife got the pork chop and it was flavorless and I got the meatloaf and it was not even close to meatloaf. The cornbread also had no flavor and the Mac and cheese (Mac and Steve) we left it sitting on the plate with a couple of bites gone. The coleslaw was not finished either. The only thing we finished were the French fries. View all feedback.

And this is my second visit to the Cast Iron Kitchen. Unfortunately it was very disappointing both food and service. I ordered the Reuben sandwich with fries. Unfortunately the bread was soaked in oil so much so that the oil pooled next to the sandwich and overpowered the taste of all the other ingredients. Our server was not on point at all. My friends and I had to ask her for every single thing meaning silverware, water Etc. but our seating was wonderful while listening to music coming from next-door. I will not come back again with my friends. There are other restaurants to try along the road
Stumbled into this place looking for dinner before going to the theater. I loved it. My food was very good. While the cornbread is not typical southern style I loved it. I got the soup special it looked beautiful and tasted awesome. Salmon was delicious. Wait staff very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend.
We just finished eating at the CastIron Kitchen restaurant and the food and service were excellent. Despite the previous review I read, the meatloaf was one of the best I have ever had. Everyone in our party we very pleased with their dinners. We might have to come back to Burnsville just to eat here.
Service was friendly but not knowledgeable on the menu or specifics on various dishes. Had the Appalachian charcuterie board and can easily say it wasn't good at all.. trout dip was a small piece of smoked fish (couldn't even tell it was trout) smothered in a mayo-like sauce and just a handful of saltine cracker packets, other items on the board were just OK and not good... between the 4 of us, we had the meat loaf and pork chops for dinner and none of us finished half of what was on our plates. This is saying a lot as well since we had just finished a hike and were hungry. Mac and cheese was dry and flavorless, I wouldn't even say what we got was cornbread with how bad it was and the hush puppies were burnt to a crisp. Overall would not recommend. We ended up going to a grocery store right after to make food.
