What Kenyon McDermott likes about Au Wing Kee Restaurant:
This is as typical as it comes as a neighborhood Chinese restaurant. It serves Southern Chinese food. It is not fancy looking or nice decors but if you are used to old style eats... you're familiar with what I'm saying. Food are good and the waitresses are old school friendly. If you are not picky or expect too much then this place will be a nice cheap cozy meal. View all feedback. What Velva Schaden doesn't like about Au Wing Kee Restaurant:
This greasy spoon has seen better days. It used to be an old favourite with the family and friends... but one look at the men's washroom, will turn off anyone. Yuck. I hope their kitchen is more pleasant. View all feedback.

read moreAu Wing Kee is a casual Chinese restaurant that offers large dishes packed with mixed vegetables, chicken, and tofu covered in oil. The food quality is decent, recommended for large families looking for reasonably priced Wonton House fare. While the restaurant itself may not be in the best conditions, with old furniture and less than ideal cleanliness in some areas, it is a cozy and typical neighborhood spot for those looking for a cheap meal. The menu is comprehensive with a variety of options to choose from, including more unique dishes like snake soup. The service is okay, and the prices are extremely reasonable. Overall, it is a casual eatery on Kingsway that offers fresh and fairly priced food, perfect for a quick Cantonese meal.
