Morey's Steakhouse - Burley
Morey's Steakhouse
Description
Nestled along the scenic river, this restaurant offers a vibrant atmosphere complemented by attentive service. Guests rave about the welcoming staff and beautiful views, making it an appealing spot for special events. While some dishes, particularly the prime rib and sushi, receive accolades for taste and freshness, others fall short, noting dryness and lack of seasoning. Despite mixed food experiences, the large portions and enjoyable salad bar stand out. Overall, this venue provides a solid dining option with great service, though consistency in food quality could enhance the experience further. A visit could be worthwhile, especially for special occasions.

The service was alright and the portions are are too generous. But unfortunately the food tastes terrible! My seafood pasta entree was bland. The steak is gross and bland my wife ordered were tasteless too. We’ve NEVER had a dining experience where we were all disappointed on the quality of the food (and we eat out about 2.5 times a week. The owner is a punk too. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
The service was impeccable and the portions are very generous. But unfortunately the food tastes terrible! My seafood pasta entree was bland. The pulled pork sandwiches my husband and kids ordered were tasteless too. We’ve NEVER had a dining experience where the entire family was disappointed on the quality of the food (and we eat out about 3 times a week). My husband and I decided to go to Morey's last night for a date night. I ordered the wagyu sirloin with sizzling plate includes potatoes, mushrooms, onions and bell peppers. My husband got the 14 oz ribeye with mashed potatoes and gravy and corn. I had also ordered appetizers. First off our service was minimal. I did notice other diners got bread with their orders we did not. Our appetizer was deep fried pickles, beer batter mushrooms, and mozzarella sticks. It was seasonless. Absolutely bland. The mushrooms were water logged disintegrating into a soggy disgusting mess. Watered down bread anyone? Dill pickles also awful. The best thing was the mozzarella sticks that I usually can't eat. Then the steaks arrived. My steak was overly charred and difficult to cut a 30 hockey puck. I ordered medium. It was very over. Once I got ketchup my sizzling vegetables were the best thing I had eaten until my husband let me taste his ribeye. My husband cleaned his plate he was starved. He ate most of my steak also. I was without water for minutes upon minutes. She checked on us 2 time in an hour and 1/2. Like I said we will not be going back. $100.00 I'm sick to my stomach we paid all that money. First time I have eaten there, at the recommendation of my father. He and I went there for ribeye steak. I was quite disappointed, as was my father. I didn’t eat more than a third of my steak, nor did he. Must have been an off night. The steak was ordered as medium, but was everything from quite rare to medium well. I don’t normally complain when asked about my dinner, but this time I did, and asked for a discount. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–50 Food: 2 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3
Small town vibes, comfy clean booths, very nice staff, and the food was amazing! Got the T-bone steak medium rare and it was on point! I will definitely go again before I leave the state.
