If you like going to restaurants that serve great food you really can’t make at home, and enjoy modernist cooking, you will like this place. Stumbled on it as it was just a block below our hotel, it was a hugely amazing surprise. Tired of the typically heavy Swiss and German food, this was a nice oasis of fine dining. What Opa six doesn't like about Zur Gedult:
Patient...nomen est omen! 10 wonderful amuse bouches. Eat for 10 seconds and then wait 15 minutes for the next course. Each course could easily have fit on a coffee saucer. For hungry people like us, simply not enough. The price per person of Fr.140. seems excessive for these tasting morsels. Ich war zum ersten mal dort. Das Essen war mittelklassig und Gastgeber sahen nicht so motiviert aus.
