We were shown a very basic menu wit... read more This restaurant treats tourists with contempt! We went for lunch and three were 4 tables of locals and 3 tables of tourists. We were shown a very basic menu with a few basic options and my husband and I opted for the pasta with tomato sauce because there was not a huge choice. We noticed the other tourists had also been given the same menu and had opted for the same dish. However the locals were being served very different dishes and were choosing from a different menu. When we asked why we had not been given that menu we were told because we didn’t order it! It was too late to complain as we had already ordered. When the bill arrived there were items on it that we had not ordered. All together an unpleasant experience!! So if you are a tourist AVOID THIS PLACE!! Give your money to a business which appreciates that we have a choice!

There weren’t many place... read more We stumbled upon this restaurant one night. We were tired from touring, and stopped in Buonconvento on our way back to our agriturismo. There weren’t many places open, and I liked the looks of this place, so we gave it a try. The food was good, and the service was solid. Nothing outstandingly memorable, but solid. Special mention of the older man serving (he may have been the owner, not sure) who was very warm and welcoming. We plan to return to the area and I’d certainly come back here.

Ticked all the boxes for an impromptu lunch stop. Service was a little indifferent but that is the only criticism.

The welcoming, friendly, and helpful staff complemented the excellent food, which was very good (cold cuts with crostini, tagliatelle with Cinta Senese sauce, and mixed roast meat). Good value for money.
