Old world pub With music and sing along sometimes I haven't eaten there
Great for a drink with a few friends or a large function. Right beside Bunratty castle.
Food fab. Place mobbed. Service under pressure. But it was worth it after walking the santy experience in bunratty folk park.
Oh my goodness! This place is a must-visit. There's a reason it has a long-standing reputation! The food is incredible and the beers are even better. Make sure to visit Bunratty Castle for the Irish Banquet (just a short stumble away) - it's a true Irish Bucket List dream come true. The only reason I gave the service 3 stars was because there was a woman working there who seemed miserable. It's a shame because the other young man working there was great (5 stars).
The restaurant is housed in a charming building with a distinct Irish vibe. The waitress was friendly and patient with our questions. The menu offers a variety of seafood options as well as non-seafood choices. The bruschetta starter was delicious with a perfect balsamic glaze drizzle. I tried the Penne with red sauce and prawns and it was excellent. The garlic bread was also amazing. My sister enjoyed her salmon dish with scalloped or au gratin potatoes in a unique umami broth. She found both the salmon and potatoes to be delicious. Overall, Dirty Nelly's is one of the top restaurants we've tried on our vacation. Highly recommend it!
