Description

Dirty Nelly's offers a mixed dining experience, with food arriving at different times and portion sizes not overly impressive. Some feel the prices are too high for what is essentially pub grub. Concerns about lack of social distancing and COVID-19 safety protocols have also been raised. However, the staff are described as extremely helpful and friendly, the atmosphere is lively with live music, and the food quality is generally praised. While there are some inconsistencies in the food preparation, overall Dirty Nelly's remains a popular stop for those looking for a traditional Irish pub experience.

Interesting place, good Guiness, good service. Most of our meals were good. However, advertising Fish and chips as being fresh Haddock is untrue!! We got Hake! And it was overcooked so went a bit like cotton wool in your mouth! Bad idea just to increase profits as Hake is a cheaper fish!!

What can I say about Durty Nelly's that hasn't been said already. Its a really amazing restaurant located right next door to Bunratty castle that dates back to 1620. It's very touristy because of that its always bustling with people. The food we had was good

Great place to visit and superb food. You can eat in the bar or the restaurant. Upstairs can be rented for personal parties. It is wheelchair accessible and you can enter by a side door, there is a disabled toilet. The staff are helpful, efficient and friendly. They have live music some nights and there is plenty of outdoor seating.

Durty Nelly’s is a typical cozy Irish pub, where you almost immediately get the “yes, that’s why we came to Ireland” feeling. Good music, Guinness, hustle and bustle and that classic old pub vibe. It’s touristy, but it still has character, and it’s especially cozy in the evening. The perfect place to end a long day with a pint.
