The filling options... read more Heard of it, to be honest. But I am so glad I tried it here! The vetkoek was light and fluffy, with a crispy exterior that was just perfect. The filling options were numerous, and I opted for the traditional minced beef and cheese. It was a delicious combination that I will definitely be coming back for. The service was friendly and the atmosphere was cozy. Overall, a great experience at The Bread Pocket.

These bread pockets are just flat pieces of dough fried, cut open and filled with a variety of fillings. I've had the pulled pork, my wife the cajun chicken. They were both delicious beyond expectations. We expected edible fast food but were impressed. The bread pocket itself is slightly crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Juices from the filling soak into the bread making it all the more delicious. Being the big eater that I am I've ordered chips with my meal but had to order more because once my wife tasted them she wanted to share - I didn't.Darren the owner was very nice and all smiles and very helpful. Apparently if it is in his power he will make filings that even aren't on the menu. Can't wait to come back.
