Very beautiful restaurant with southern vibes waiter and hostess were very welcoming and attentive.
I can’t believe of all my visits, I haven’t written this review yet. Here we go:As a discerning food enthusiast, I recently had the pleasure of dining at Toutant, and I must say, it was an experience that transcended mere sustenance. From the moment I stepped through the rustic wooden doors, I knew I was in for something special.Impeccable Service: The staff at Toutant redefine hospitality. Their warmth and genuine care made me feel like an honored guest. They anticipated our needs without being intrusive, ensuring a seamless dining experience. Whether it was refilling our water glasses or recommending the perfect wine pairing, their attention to detail was commendable.Ambiance: Toutant’s ambiance strikes the perfect balance between cozy and chic. The dimly lit space exudes a Southern charm, with exposed brick walls, vintage photographs, and wooden accents. It’s the kind of place where conversations flow effortlessly, and time seems to slow down.Culinary Artistry: Now, let’s talk about the pièce de résistance—the food. Toutant’s menu is a symphony of flavors, celebrating Cajun and Creole cuisine. Each dish is meticulously crafted, paying homage to tradition while adding contemporary twists. Here are a few highlights:Shrimp and Grits: Creamy, cheesy grits cradle plump shrimp, kissed by a smoky andouille sausage gravy. It’s a harmonious dance of textures and tastes.Fried Chicken: Crispy, golden-brown, and juicy—Toutant’s fried chicken is the stuff of dreams. The secret lies in their buttermilk brine and the perfect blend of spices.Libations and Libations: The bar at Toutant deserves its own accolades. Their craft cocktails are a work of art. I recommend the Mint Julep—a refreshing elixir that balances sweetness and minty freshness.Final Verdict: 5 Stars and Beyond: Toutant isn’t just a restaurant; it’s an ode to culinary passion. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or simply indulging in life’s pleasures, Toutant delivers. Make a reservation, savor every bite, and raise your glass to an unforgettable dining adventure. In summary, Toutant is where impeccable service meets five-star-worthy food. Bravo, Toutant—you’ve won my heart and taste buds!
For our main courses, we stuck to the classics: Nashville hot chicken, shrimp and grits, BBQ hash, and a Belgian waffle. Each dish was perfectly prepared and absolutely delicious. We concluded our meal with the exceptional brown butter ice cream, which was creamy, savory, and sweet. I can’t recommend this place enough. Our experience was outstanding—amazing service, incredible food, and a fantastic atmosphere!
It’s disappointing to deduct one star from my rating, though, because I found that the brunch prices were, in some cases, 50% higher than what’s currently listed on the website. I understand that operating costs can be high these days, but such a significant discrepancy is frustrating for customers.
