Reservations are recommended for lunch and/or dinner. This is home style Southern Italian fare, coming in large portions, with a delicious meat sauce. Get your pasta “parmed” with ample amounts of cheese for a special treat. The salads are simple and fresh. The garlic bread with cheese is to die for. The fresh bread, made in house, is excellent. The most popular menu item is the spaghetti parm, which you eat with a knife and fork. I love their raviolis my personal favorite. The meatball sandwich is also decadent. If I could make one suggestion, it would be to improve the meatballs (more spice, cook in the sauce) as they are bland compared to everything else. They turn tables over quickly, so if you want a dinning experience with extended conversation, try to book one of the private rooms. A must visit in Buffalo!

This is probably the best Italian food I have ever eaten! Delicious pasta, chicken parmesan, and their signature spaghetti dish is a must. Highly recommend!

Chef’s is fantastic a Buffalo staple for generations. The spaghetti parm is amazing, and the staff is always attentive and supportive. You won’t be disappointed by the food or the staff. The price on the other hand is becoming outrageous. Sometime in early 2023 they raised their prices considerably and now for a family of 4 to eat (without drinks or appetizers) you need to be prepared to pay. Our family of 4 went in the other night, got two adult dinners and two kid spaghettis.. no drinks other than water appetizers and we got hit for $104 before tax. $38x2 $14x2.

Soooooooo good. We came because of a recommendation of a friend. If I were a local I’d eat here weekly. Must try when you are here.

Buffalo has SO many amazing, authentic Italian restaurants. I understand Chef's is a local landmark, kind of like Anchor bar is to wings... but I'm telling you just like AB, if you're an out of towner, don't get pulled in by the hype. The sauce is bland and just not flavorful. It's really banquet style Italian. Mulberry and San Marco are much more authentic with truly high quality food that's made with care.
