I went to this restaurant for New Year's with my boyfriend. The staff was incredibly attentive and friendly. The food was fantastic, especially the stuffed banana peppers, which were amazing!

We absolutely loved Jackie! She was the best waitress we've ever had. The service was quick and the food was delicious. We had a party of 18 and Tappo did an excellent job catering to us.

The reservation process is far too confusing, apparently I messed it up and we almost didn’t get our igloo. Waitress was extremely friendly but honestly felt like she didn’t give us great service because the 20% gratuity was included in our bill for four people. We gave her an additional tip because I wasn’t sure if she was just having a bad day and/or overworked. My husband has a severe nut allergy and they served us desserts that contained nuts. Waitress offered an alternate dessert, which was ice cream but she never gave him a spoon. I’m happy we got to experience the igloo but probably wouldn’t do it again because of the inside restaurant is much better.

The food at this restaurant was excellent! Both the stuffed peppers and spaghetti and meatballs were recommended by other guests and the bartender. We also added Italian bread with herb-seasoned olive oil, which had great flavor and generous portions. The prices were reasonable, and the wine selection was $18 per bottle with the option to take home any leftovers in a sealed bag. The coffee was also enjoyable. We arrived on a Monday night around 6 pm on our way from Canada to points further south. There weren't many guests at first, but by the time we left at 7:30, the restaurant was 3/4 full, which was impressive for the beginning of the week. The bartender, Ken, was friendly, attentive, and provided timely service. The ambiance was friendly and comfortable, with soft lighting and a quiet atmosphere perfect for conversation. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely return to this restaurant.

Tappo is a great option for an after-work happy hour, perfect for those who are new to wine and want to explore different options. It can also be a great spot for a date night that won't break the bank. The Calebrese flatbread is a must-try and the best food on the menu. However, the bar service can be hit or miss, especially when the bar is busy. The meatballs are often overworked or over-seasoned. Despite these issues, Tappo is a reliable choice for a post-work meal downtown.
