What Steve Vathy doesn't like about Sun Buffalo:
Food is very good, but our server was very distracted, talking with the owner or some other person for at least 45 minutes, actually had to interrupt the conversation to get service. I wanted to order more food, I had to signal our server because was too busy to check on our table, the place only had 2 tables occupied and our table was one of the occupied ones. I have yet to be dissatisfied or disappointed by this wonderful authentic restaurant. Their black rice salad is to die for i get it every time, and everything else is on point. If your a friend of mine and i haven't already dragged you here then it's time i do.
Finally got to try Sun yesterday, and I can absolutely see why everyone loves it. Pad ga pow was amazing. I ordered hot because most places dont take the word hot seriously, well Sun does. Had a couple different sushi rolls, Grand Avocado being the best. And I have to mention the staff there. They were SO friendly and genuinely seemed to appreciate our business. I rarely review things, but this place is awesome.
The menu choices are endless. The staff is very friendly and $5.00 corkage fee to bring in your own wine is terrific
Today I visited Sun Cuisines for the 1st time and I am upset I have never been here before. Kevin and Stephanie are amazing owners and the food is beyond delicious. If you haven't made your way down Niagara St., I highly highly recommend exploring Buffalo and checking it out. They are opening a 2nd location and they will do great things!!
From the tom yum soup to the various sushi, and steamed dumplings; Sun was absolutely amazing! I wasn't too sure how I would feel about black rice, but now I know that it compliments the fish so well. I can't imagine ever eating another piece of white rice sushi. The service was on point, and I would definitely recommend everyone try Sun.
