While the food, including delightful ramen and teriyaki dishes, receives high praise for its quality, service can be inconsistent, with patrons occasionally facing long wait times. I don't know if this place didn't live up to my expectations, or if it really did fall flat. The appetizers, while good, are very small. To be fair they are called small plates. But if you plan to get one or two appetizers to share for the table you'll quickly run short. It took 50 minutes between ordering and getting food, this was a Saturday at 7 8 PM so the place was busy. I had the `Green Curry` and it missed my expectations. The rest of my party thought their food was better. Maybe it was just my choice. I want to give this place any and all benefits of the doubt that maybe it was just me, or just this time. After all I live downtown and can never get a seat or reservation. There must be something that other people see that I didn't this time. PS the lady with the pink glasses She works too hard. I literally saw her ZOOOOMING around the place the whole time basically tending to everyone and everything she physically could. Impressive, but made me anxious.
Probably my favorite restaurant in all of Buffalo. A favorite period. Simply can't go wrong. The drinks accompany the food well and the food always hits.
Really cool place in the basement of a historic building in the downtown area. My party of four came here on a Saturday night and found free street parking nearby with ease. The service was good and the food was great!
The ramen is so flavorful with great add on options. Absolutely love this place. The ambiance reminds me of being in Chicago.
I absolutely loved the unique concept of this restaurant. Their beer selection is impressive and I especially enjoyed their twist on the classic Old Fashioned cocktail with a Japanese influence. I've heard great things about their sushi, although I have yet to try it myself. However, I was disappointed with the mediocre vegetarian Ramen.
