Gabriel's Gate in Buffalo's Allentown neighborhood has garnered a mix of reviews. While the ambiance and service are often praised, opinions on the food vary. Diners have found the chicken wings hit-or-miss, with some enjoying their crispy exterior and well-balanced flavor, while others noted dryness or lack of crispiness. Appetizers like the French onion soup received accolades for their rich, cheesy goodness. However, slow service and high prices have raised concerns. Despite these inconsistencies, many appreciate the hearty portions and the restaurant's unique, blue-collar charm, affirming it as a worthy stop in the quest for authentic Buffalo wings.

I tried the buffalo wings at Buffalo for the first time, and the internet wasn't wrong when it said they were the best. We ordered a combination of mild sauce and suicide sauce, and they were absolutely delicious. As a spice lover, I especially enjoyed the fiery suicide sauce. A visit to this restaurant is a must! What Tyronne W dislikes about Gabriel's Gate:
Heard a lot of hype about this place in terms of their wings but it was pretty disappointing. Wings in our opinion were not as good as Anchor bar or even Duffs, not to mention they don't have larger quantities available for order like the others wing spots. The beef on wec sandwich was also a bit of a sloppy mess. View all feedback.
My friend took me to this restaurant in Buffalo during her visit. We both liked the hot wings and fries. The wings were not very spicy and some were a bit too fatty/smooth.
The server was nice and friendly, but eating was slow. our table of 4 ordered 2 double wings. it took almost 40 minutes until our order arrived and it was not really so busy either. also not very good beer options. great buffalo hot wings. the actual wings are quite large and juicy, but the bbq cajun wings were really bad. there was totally too much BBQ sauce on them and they were just a wet chaos without hint at cajun. Finally, I would have to say that this place is quite expensive for what they get. no fries or beside dishes with wing orders and only a few small pieces of celery included. somehow our bill came to almost $200 cad and 2 of us were just drinking water.
Great food. philly was so tasteful and super hearty. cool atmosphere with original kamin, Indian sculptures. feels just good at it! negative: generika beer and wein menu. no local options. Why? the wet who sat us was simply rude. no reason?
Gabriel's Gate is one of my favorite restaurants - they serve some of the best wings in the city.
