From the first day we arrived we were treated like family instead of guests. The staff was always helpful, friendly, approachable and did everything in their power to accommodate us and make our stay as pleasant as possible. The owners are on premise from open to close, and work just as hard to make everything right. The rooms are impeccable... You actually feel like you're at home instead of a hotel room . The view from our window to the cobblestone lined streets makes you feel like you're in a movie. Featherbed covers.. .fluffy pillows... and a tempurpedic style mattress give you a great night's sleep. The buffet style breakfast offers a wide variety of meats cheeses jams jellies and the like along with warm bread, orange juice and coffee. They cook eggs to order and anything else you would like in there is no extra charge! It is all included in the price of the room. The food is authentic Greek and German. I would highly recommend trying one of the schnitzel or gyro platters. These meals are cooked directly by the owner; handmade with love. Meals run around $12 to $20 so they won't break the bank. You are greeted with a shot of Ouzo at every meal (again, no extra charge) where you are toasted to your health. Located in the Old Town section, This restaurant has been around for over 125 years and was newly remodeled a couple of years ago to add the rooms and redecorate the inside. Take a look at some of the pictures and you will see how welcoming this place is, and what great views you have with the skylights and the terrace on the second floor. They even have an outside cafe style seating which is awesome on a beautiful sunny day. You are located inside the walls of the Old Castle and it is only a short walk to many attractions and shops in town. If you ever take a trip to Frankfurt or the surrounding area it is only a 20-minute drive to Büdingen to enjoy a slice of Heaven. A DEFINITE MUST DO!!! You will NOT be disappointed!!!!!
