The service was quick, service staff were rude however. The food was nothing too special. We got the seafood platter and it tastes like it was frozen not fresh.
I have been to The Well several times now for lunch and dinner events and thought it deserved a review for the important contribution to the Uni Canberra and Belconnen neighbourhoods. Service can bit a bit variable (it is pretty lightly staffed, I get the impression) but is usually friendly. There is a good range of beers and ciders available (including some local beers). There are a range of food options with prices from value to moderate. The mainly American pub style food is well prepared and tasty, with old favourites and some twists on old favourites. The sweet potato fries are a tasty cheap snack and the burgers are really great. Well worth a trip on to campus.
The Well radiates good vibes and produces some absolutely delish cuisine. The music creates the perfect ambience to enjoy your choice of food, whether it be a burger and fries or some good as 50c wings. A great place to grab a cheeky bevvie with the lads or lasses. Love - hate relationship with the seating, could be improved. Overall it's a fully sick experience.
