This restaurant offers a unique experience with its special $1 oyster happy hour deal, but some customers found the oysters to be subpar and were disappointed by the lack of seafood options. Although service was praised, there were complaints about the uncomfortable seating and limited menu items. The champagne selection stands out, while the wine is not as impressive. The establishment is recommended more for a casual outing with friends or for celebrating special occasions with champagne. Overall, the restaurant seems to have potential but may need to work out some kinks before fully winning over customers.

It's hard to comment, because the restaurant was in transition, except I wonder why it was still open with such a mess. Fortunately, the staff was exceptional and had to have an excellent finger to bypass all the drawbacks of the menu. First of all, we're assigned a high table. The stools were so uncomfortable that we asked for a new place. I wanted to make a champagne tasting, but I couldn't do it because the cellar was practically empty. Our waitress was obliged to tell us everything that was not available on the menu. Finally, the salmon tartar was good as well as the chocolate melting. The pork net was too cooked. We were entitled to a discount because we were going to see a show at the Star! I don't know if I'm going back. I understand they were in transition, but why open and leave customers on such impressions?

It is more of a bar than a restaurant, the atmosphere goes in this direction. the menu is short, but interesting. There was a special menu during our visit, main dish chosen: seaweed on black rice and I was entitled to salmon on rice uncle bens frankly ordinary! I've been looking for a long time, but not found! Input tartars were excellent for their part. dessert: you take the chocolate melt each, there are no more. Second disappointment. We were allowed a burned creme, which is good, but much too big and too sweet. She echoes half. for alcohol, champagne is probably their great strength, it is not the case of red wine, which is simply too hot. the waitress (not experienced) told us that red wine was drinking room temperature (22-23C) and that it could not be colder...If you like your red wine tablet, spoil! The service was good, but too insistent. I mean, we were little in the restaurant, but come and get asked if everything's okay, everything's in our taste for 10 minutes, it's tiring. I think it's an ideal place to go out with friends or to celebrate a special event with champagne, to take an apero, a bite, but not for a dinner in love.

The quintessential diner in Whitby for the home cooking experience.

I went to this restaurant with a friend for happy hour from 5 to 7. They were offering $1 oysters during this time, but we found them to be old and strange-tasting. To make matters worse, we were informed that there was no fish or seafood available, meaning 80% of the menu was unavailable. Despite it being happy hour, the place was practically empty. I would not recommend dining here, unless perhaps you are interested in their champagne selection.

I really enjoyed the laid-back atmosphere and tasty bites at this new restaurant with a spacious terrace. The music from the DJ was a nice touch too! I'll definitely be returning to this city.
