Feedback
Was Elfrieda Schimmel at Zenkichi a mag?
Took my husband here for his birthday. We ordered from the Sunday Brunch menu. It was really a great experience . Food was really good (coming from someone who knows how to cook very well and is usually dissatisfied with many restaurant's food). The live Jazz was a nice touch. Server seemed a little new, but she was still good...and pleasant. I will return soon! View all feedback.
What Kristin Muller dislikes about Zenkichi:
The restaurant is quite unique in its concept and decor very cozy and intimate. However the food was not worth the value at all. Itâs a shame that such a beautiful place is not complemented by great food, especially at its price point. View all feedback.
Let me just start off and say that I will most definitely be back to this place.
Went to Zenkichi with family and friends to celebrate a birthdayWe all ordered the Omakase menu but did not do the sake pairing.
We tried the tasting menu and found it to be good. While none of the dishes stood out as exceptional, they were all delicious. We had hoped for a more creative and visually appealing menu. The wine pairing was disappointing in terms of value. The restaurant itself is charming, but could use some renovations. The service was good. We would return to the restaurant, but likely wouldn't opt for the tasting menu again.
The food at this restaurant was decent, but I was disappointed to discover that they do not offer wine on their drink menu. While they do serve beer, sake, and champagne, the absence of wine was surprising to me as I know many people, both locals and Japanese, enjoy pairing wine with Japanese cuisine. It seemed like an odd choice for a Japanese restaurant.
