Description

Nestled in the heart of the city, this Taiwanese fusion restaurant is a vibrant dining destination that resonates with both charm and energy. Guests rave about the inviting atmosphere and trendy staff, which foster a cozy yet lively ambiance perfect for gatherings. While the menu boasts a creative blend of flavors, some dishes tend to be overpriced and diverge from traditional Taiwanese cuisine. Highlights include the pan-grilled pork buns and the delightful almond toffee cookie, along with a standout Ghost of Phil drink. Overall, this spot is a unique experience, attracting diners with its eclectic offerings, though expect to navigate a lively, sometimes bustling environment.

I stopped by Win Son for brunch. The line was long, but it moved pretty quickly. I ordered the fried chicken box and it was really good! Well-seasoned, crispy and juicy. I would recommend this place located in the hip neighborhood of Bushwick on Graham Ave. Outdoor seating is also available. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Service: Dine in Price per person: $10–20

Update: Some of the recipes have been altered since my first visit. Cheap taste and insane line. Original:. BIG CHICKEN BOX was a bit overseasoned. But chicken is great, and skin was still crispy upon arrival (I ordered delivery) CUSTARD TOAST was phenomenal!!!! Will come back for it FAN TUAN was amazing too. I grew up eating this back home, and this one has everything I was looking for, especially the crunchy crumbs inside. Best i had in NYC! TURNIP CAKE reminded me of a childhood dish, too. Personally I don’t like it that much but it’s nostalgic. Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Great place and good food. One note was that I was expecting stronger flavors (but probably it’s me). Overall good food, you can’t reserve but you need to walk in and be lucky to find a table. I suggest going early to limit the wait.
