Nestled in the heart of the city, this Taiwanese fusion restaurant is a vibrant dining destination that resonates with both charm and energy. Guests rave about the inviting atmosphere and trendy staff, which foster a cozy yet lively ambiance perfect for gatherings. While the menu boasts a creative blend of flavors, some dishes tend to be overpriced and diverge from traditional Taiwanese cuisine. Highlights include the pan-grilled pork buns and the delightful almond toffee cookie, along with a standout Ghost of Phil drink. Overall, this spot is a unique experience, attracting diners with its eclectic offerings, though expect to navigate a lively, sometimes bustling environment.

I went on a Saturday and the bakery was very busy. They have a bar inside the bakery and a restaurant across the street. The latte was very average but voluminous i.e. the cup was big. The mochi donut was really tasty! It was basically fried mochi dough with granulated sugar on top. Gummy and chewy but not as chewy as something like candy gummy worms. The nian gao was alright: it was a tart with white creme and mandarins on top. More savory/breading flavored with the only sweetness coming from the creme. The mandarins were unnecessary kinda threw off the flavors. Overall a good bakery, I’d stick to the popular items like the mochi donut.

I love when seemingly simple things are done incredibly well. Take the lowly breakfast egg biscuit. We’ve all had hundreds of these forgettable morsels. Here however, the dish has been undertaken with such exquisite taste and care to be elevated beyond the common fare to be perhaps the best egg biscuit I’ve ever had. First we begin with the eggs. Now turning over eggs into a fluffy yet compactly folded roll is a fine art. I must stress that the eggs were hot. Not cold. Not lukewarm. Hot. Which is how you want your eggs in a biscuit. Perfectly hot. Not dried or crusty. Fluffy and flavourful yet well formed, not falling apart. Now we come to the biscuit. Homemade and definitely not flaky. It stayed together for the duration and had great texture. The filter coffee was fine as well. I appreciated all the effort that went into making this a most enjoyable breakfast experience and I will be coming back to try what else is on offer.

Outstanding food, everything was delicious and great atmosphere! We got a table for 6, shared a bunch of starters and main plates everything here is shareable and really worth trying different things. For me, the sesame noodles, oysters omelette andchicken bun were the highlights of the night. They only make reservations for group of 6. Only thing that could be improved isthe bathroom it can take 20+ minutes!

I stopped by Win Son for brunch. The line was long, but it moved pretty quickly. I ordered the fried chicken box and it was really good! Well-seasoned, crispy and juicy. I would recommend this place located in the hip neighborhood of Bushwick on Graham Ave. Outdoor seating is also available. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Service: Dine in Price per person: $10–20
