Reviews summary
Nestled in the heart of the city, this Taiwanese fusion restaurant is a vibrant dining destination that resonates with both charm and energy. Guests rave about the inviting atmosphere and trendy staff, which foster a cozy yet lively ambiance perfect for gatherings. While the menu boasts a creative blend of flavors, some dishes tend to be overpriced and diverge from traditional Taiwanese cuisine. Highlights include the pan-grilled pork buns and the delightful almond toffee cookie, along with a standout Ghost of Phil drink. Overall, this spot is a unique experience, attracting diners with its eclectic offerings, though expect to navigate a lively, sometimes bustling environment.

We enjoyed a pleasant meal at Win Son. The food is quite good, especially the pan-fried pork buns, which were the highlight. However, the prices are very high for the portion sizes. If I come back, I’d probably just sit at the bar and have the buns with a cocktail. I’m unlikely to return with a group due to the steep cost. View all feedback.
What Penny Fun dislikes about Win Son:
This is Taiwanese fusion restaurant, some of the dishes are super overpriced! Consider some of the famous dishes are mostly street food in Taiwan, just surprised to see a $30 lu rou fan!! Tian dou jiang taste is very odd, not sure what is in it but tasted like packaged tian dou jiang. The dessert is very questionable, I would love to know what the are trying to present tho, ice cream itself is very weird, crust is ok... View all feedback.

I went on a Saturday and the bakery was very busy. They have a bar inside the bakery and a restaurant across the street. The latte was very average but voluminous i.e. the cup was big. The mochi donut was really tasty! It was basically fried mochi dough with granulated sugar on top. Gummy and chewy but not as chewy as something like candy gummy worms. The nian gao was alright: it was a tart with white creme and mandarins on top. More savory/breading flavored with the only sweetness coming from the creme. The mandarins were unnecessary kinda threw off the flavors. Overall a good bakery, I’d stick to the popular items like the mochi donut.
I love when seemingly simple things are done incredibly well. Take the lowly breakfast egg biscuit. We’ve all had hundreds of these forgettable morsels. Here however, the dish has been undertaken with such exquisite taste and care to be elevated beyond the common fare to be perhaps the best egg biscuit I’ve ever had. First we begin with the eggs. Now turning over eggs into a fluffy yet compactly folded roll is a fine art. I must stress that the eggs were hot. Not cold. Not lukewarm. Hot. Which is how you want your eggs in a biscuit. Perfectly hot. Not dried or crusty. Fluffy and flavourful yet well formed, not falling apart. Now we come to the biscuit. Homemade and definitely not flaky. It stayed together for the duration and had great texture. The filter coffee was fine as well. I appreciated all the effort that went into making this a most enjoyable breakfast experience and I will be coming back to try what else is on offer.
My friends and I had a pleasant brunch here on NYE. Our server Maria was FANTASTIC! Since it was our first time here, her recommendation on what to order exceeded our expectations—everything from marinated cucumbers to fried eggplant to sesame noodles to oyster omelet was flavorful. But when the dessert came, Maria wasn't joking around. The fried donut with sesame ice cream was huge but absolutely delicious, it just melted in our mouths ; It was a perfect way to end our meal. We were so full but very, very happy. It's nice to go to a restaurant where the servers are very well-versed in the menu, are friendly, and provide the best recommendations. We will surely be back here for dinner, and we hope to get Maria to be our server again!
Food was good! Very flavourful but a little greasy. The doujiang with the youtiao was very nice and the peanut noodles are a must get! You can skip the pork rice and the cocktails…

Outstanding food, everything was delicious and great atmosphere! We got a table for 6, shared a bunch of starters and main plates everything here is shareable and really worth trying different things. For me, the sesame noodles, oysters omelette andchicken bun were the highlights of the night. They only make reservations for group of 6. Only thing that could be improved isthe bathroom it can take 20+ minutes!
Great place and good food. One note was that I was expecting stronger flavors (but probably it?s me). Overall good food, you can?t reserve but you need to walk in and be lucky to find a table. I suggest going early to limit the wait.
Wow, the scallion pancakes were the best I've ever had! Crispy, salty, and not greasy. With a deliciously sweet and spicy dipping sauce. Everything was amazing though. I definitely recommend the sesame noodles and the chicken sandwich.
Although the outside of the restaurant looks like it could be straight out of Taiwan, the inside is anything but. The atmosphere is loud and feels like a party. The food was also very non traditional, although still mostly decent in its own way. The foodwas not bad but also not great.
I wish I can give this place a 5 star because they have amazing choices but sadly the dish I chose was not what I expected. Highly recommend the pan grilled pork buns! I don't recommend the Flys head. There was barely any pork, it was all chives andrice. Not sure who pays 23 dollars for chives. Highly recommend the Ghost of Phil drink. And then after walk over to the bakeryfor some almond toffee cookie which is to die for. Great service.

We find ourselves drawn back to this spot time and time again. The dining area, with its charming simplicity, creates a cozy atmosphere, and the trendy staff makes us feel genuinely welcomed and at ease during our brunches at the restaurant. The food is not only delicious but also beautifully presented, adding to the overall enjoyment of our dining experience.
The food here is insane— definitely worth the trek here to try everything!! I love the oyster pancake (which tastes a lot better than it sounds) but everything we had was delicious. Cute spot but make sure you come early since it does get busyFood: 5/5
It is a pretty cool venue and I would definitely recommend a visit. The plates range in size and are mostly plays on traditional Taiwanese food with a tweak here and there.I visited with friends, so we tried a bunch of different stuff and were all pretty happy with our choices (those included the fried dough, eggplant, pork buns, basil crepes and scallion pancakes). Everything was pretty delicious, however pretty overpriced, which in the end took the one star off my final review. It’s pretty good, but was not great enough to justify the price at a premium.
During my recent trip to Brooklyn, I had the pleasure of dining at Win Son, a remarkable restaurant that masterfully blends Korean fusion with modern American influences. The experience was truly delightful, with Win Son delivering a menu full of bold and inventive flavors that excited my palate. Conveniently situated opposite their bakery, our meal began with a stop at this sweet retreat. The bacon pancake stood out, expertly balancing savory and sweet notes for a delicious start to our culinary adventure. The impressive selection of pastries also provided an indulgent treat. Eager to sample more, we proceeded to Win Son for a full meal. The dumplings were exceptional, offering bold, satisfying tastes with every bite, making them a highlight of the menu. While the steak tartare was decent, it didn’t quite match the high standard set by the other dishes, feeling a bit more ordinary and lacking the wow factor. The restaurant itself had a welcoming ambiance, creating a comfortable space to enjoy our meal. Service was excellent, with attentive and friendly staff who ensured everything went smoothly. The warmth of the team at Win Son truly enhanced the overall experience. Located in a vibrant Brooklyn neighborhood, Win Son benefits from a dynamic culinary scene, making it a must-visit for any food lover exploring the area.

Loved the food, everything we tried was very tasty! Everyone was really friendly, and the vibe was nice. A little dark so my pictures did not come out great. Loved it though. I stopped by Win Son for brunch. The line was long, but it moved pretty quickly. I ordered the fried chicken box and it was really good! Well-seasoned, crispy and juicy. I would recommend this place located in the hip neighborhood of Bushwick on Graham Ave. Outdoor seating is also available. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Service: Dine in Price per person: $10–20

This restaurant is the top spot in Brooklyn, and quite possibly all of New York, or even the entire world.
The food at Win Son is consistently delicious and beautifully presented. My favorite dish, which I always order, is the Lu Rou Fan. Thank you, Win Son!
I was let down by the Sesame noodles considering all the rave reviews. However, it was still decent! So my rating is positive.
