Table 87
4.5 / 5 (3349 reviews)

Description

Table 87 offers a vibrant dining experience with its delicious pizzas, particularly the Margherita and fig and speck varieties, renowned for their crispy crusts and flavorful toppings. However, operational issues shadow the positive culinary aspects. Several patrons reported dissatisfaction with the pickup service, citing long wait times and inadequate packaging. Additionally, concerns arose regarding a waiter’s unethical tip modification. Despite these setbacks, many customers appreciated the fast service and quality of food, making Table 87 a notable, if inconsistent, dining destination in Brooklyn Heights. Overall, it’s a place worth visiting, albeit with some caveats.

Came here when the restaurant was pretty empty and accidentally walked in through the back rather than the front of the restaurant. No one looked as though they knew what to do when I asked if we could be seated. We waited for about ten minutes at our table, then got up and went around through the front. The host there also seemed confused, and seated us right back where we were originally seated. I asked if I could get a ginger ale while we looked at the menu the waiter said yes, then did not return. People walked by avoiding eye contact with me and my girlfriend. Eventually we got up and left to go down the street to another restaurant where the service was actually great. Avoid this place if you’d like to be treated with respect, or even if you’d just like to drink and eat. Crazy. Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1 Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner

We stopped for for a pizza snack at Table 87. The thin crust Margarita pizza was tasty. Especially I liked the huge Basel leaf. Although the coal stocked oven is a gimmick as it is a gas fired commercial stainless Steele oven with a small pile of coal onthe side. The coal smoke was hardly noticeable... But worth the stop

I ordered half of the pizza with sausage and eggplant, intending for the other half to be plain with just sauce and cheese. However, they put sausage on one side and eggplant on the other, leaving some of my guests with nothing to eat! There was no plain half as I requested. Given the price they charge, they should be able to follow such straightforward instructions. I'm giving a thumbs up because the pizza is good, but they really need to improve on following directions.
