Pollo D'Oro - Brooklyn
Pollo D'Oro
Description
Pollo D'Oro, a Peruvian restaurant near New York, fell short of expectations for many diners. Complaints of bland dishes, missing ingredients, and overpriced meals overshadowed the good ceviche and service. While some enjoyed the flavorful jalea and excellent salmon, others found the food lacking. Mixed reviews highlighted the hit-or-miss quality of both food and service. With prices on the higher side, patrons hoped for better value. The ambiance and drinks received praise, but inconsistent food quality left a lasting impression. Overall, opinions are divided on whether Pollo D'Oro is worth a visit.

I had the salmon on top of cilantro infused rice. It was amazing and I absolutely loved it. The service was adequate, but not outstanding. The food took longer than I expected, but damn, it was worth the wait. The service gets 3 stars, but with food like this, I've got to give this place a five!
Best chilcano! I had a girls night dinner and drinks at this place awesome experience! Our waitress was excellent. Ceviche was awesome and the grill octopus delicious cocktails were great. I highly recommend this place you should try it.
One of the best Peruvian restaurants around. Great service by the staff, great food and drinks. Everyone should give this place a try. They serve Peruvian cuisines that can't be found in any other Peruvian restaurants
Pollo D’Oro is such a quaint little gem tucked away in downtown Brooklyn. We tried the salmon, pollo saltado, and the creamy chicken — each dish was absolutely delicious and came in generous portions that left us more than satisfied. The flavors felt both comforting and elevated. What really stood out, though, were the cocktails — so unique and interesting, unlike the usual bar menu, and they paired beautifully with the food. Warm, cozy atmosphere with food and drinks that truly hit the spot. Definitely a place worth coming back to! Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–50
