There are so many vegan and gluten-free options available at this restaurant! The avocado toast and oatmeal are absolutely delicious. I come here frequently for a meal! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Pitanga:
Pitanga in Brooklyn falls short of being a true Brazilian restaurant, despite offering decent vegetarian dishes. The "Brazilian breakfast" lacks authenticity and the pão de queijo is disappointing, missing the mark on flavor and technique. The name "Brazilian Cherry" would better suit the restaurant. However, the orange picante juice and ambient music, featuring Marisa Monte and Caetano Veloso, are reasons to conside... View all feedback.
I had a fantastic experience at Pitanga! Their vegan Caesar salad and açaí bowl were both delicious and made with fresh ingredients. The atmosphere was cozy, and the staff was friendly and attentive. I appreciate their commitment to offering vegan options. I'll definitely be back for more tasty treats!
Been coming to Pitanga since the near beginning. It’s one of my favorite spots in the world, let alone Brooklyn. I can pick anything from the menu and know with confidence that the quality and care standards are as consistent as they were when they first opened. The service is great. Order at the register and your food is brought to your table. The ambiance is relaxed and casual. You can also bring your laptop to work at select tables. Now, the food: Wow! Simply my favorite pão de queijo ever! Grab the Brazilian breakfast. The açaí bowls are fantastic – the Peruvian is my go-to. Smoothies, too. And the sandwiches and salads… vegan and gluten-free options all around the menu. But try the vegan AND gluten-free banana nut bread: they tend to sell out, and rightfully so. A must-try if you’re in the neighborhood, imo. Consider this an exercise in self-care. Your taste buds and body will thank you afterward.
Best açaí bowl I’ve had across the country! They provide tons of toppings while keeping the price reasonable. The base was tasty, and sitting outside the restaurant on a warm fall morning was the perfect way to enjoy.
The sandwiches are delicious and very well-seasoned! I had a turmeric shot and a Macha latte, which was also good. If you never had Pão de queijo before, please try it! I want to try the acai bowl next time.
Love this place sm!!! Best acai bowls, pastries, smoothies, coffee, and they put extra healthy stuff in your bowls that a lot of other places leave out. Super on point with pickup and delivery too. Love pitanga
