Description

At this popular Brooklyn restaurant, the menu stands out for its clear vegan labeling, appealing to diverse dietary preferences. Diners report mixed experiences; while some rave about exceptional dishes like garlic naan and flavorful tandoori chicken, others find certain items surprisingly bland or overly sweet. The lunch buffet is a highlight, featuring a variety of traditional Indian dishes at an affordable price, complemented by attentive service. Despite occasional inconsistencies in flavor and portion sizes, the friendly staff and charming atmosphere make it an inviting spot for both locals and visitors seeking a satisfying meal.

Love it here. Recommend the Peshawari naan. The lamb and goat is tender and flavorsome. Gravies are rich but not oily. And the Taj Mahal beer is the cherry on top. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

There’s nothing authentic with this indian restaurant. Chicken tikka, and the chicken curry is the same taste as what you can get from trader joes. Way less spices and its bland for a real. Indian dish. the only good thing here was the garlic naan. thats it. Not recommended. Food: 1 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3

I appreciate that the restaurant clearly labels their vegan options on the menu. However, I have not been impressed with the food during my visits. One dish was bland and the other was too sweet for my taste. Despite my experience, this place seems to be popular among others and receives high ratings on Google. It may just not be to my personal liking.

The service was great, even though my friend opted for the all-you-can-eat buffet, which is self-serve—you just need to inform them that you're doing the buffet. While the selection was limited, everything was delicious, moist, and full of flavor. I regret not taking a photo; my plate was already half empty before I realized it! By 4 PM, I had already gone back for three servings (the buffet ends at that time). It’s definitely worth the price. I highly recommend checking it out—you won’t be disappointed, and I guarantee you'll find at least two dishes you’ll love. I tried everything and enjoyed it all. They also offer vegetarian options, and you can order additional items from the menu for an extra charge.
