Mokbar - Brooklyn
Mokbar
Description
Nestled near Barclays Center, this Korean restaurant offers a mixed dining experience. While some patrons celebrate its inventive dishes like crispy cauliflower and vegan ramen, others find the food lacking in flavor and the service inconsistent. Many note that the atmosphere feels off, especially during quieter hours when slow service detracts from the meal. Despite some concerns over high prices for added features and disappointing dining delays, several dishes receive praise for their quality. Overall, while the restaurant has its highlights, it struggles to consistently meet the expectations set by its chef’s acclaim on Iron Chef.

Drinks were good and the crab fried rice, mandu and noodles were excellent. Staff was extremely friendly! I’ll definitely be back
Really liked the salmon jang and the mandu dishes. Food came out fast too. Excellent service. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
This restaurant's environment is visually pleasing. The kitchen sources premium products that elevate their food above regular places. I built connections with the employees, who are excellent and notably kind. This restaurant deserves my enthusiasm. This restaurant goes further than most. The food and atmosphere was great! I got the ttebokki and bibimbap, both of which were really good! Not a fan of the +2 dollar charge for the fried egg on the bibimpad but either way, it was a huge portion and tasted great! 10/10 would get it again!
Ordered to-go. I looked at the menu online while commuting via subway to figure out what I wanted to have for lunch. Upon arriving at the location, a person which turned out to be one of the employees held the door open for me (they also justarrived). Then, I realized there were two separate entry ways. One where customers place and pick-up orders and the other forworkers of the restaurant. There is a good variety of food for people to enjoy. I was recommended to add Bulgogi Ribeye to theRoyal Bibim Bap (7 types of market vegetables on top of grain rice, fried egg, gochujang sauce, gim:dried seaweed, choice ofbulgogi beef, pork, chicken, or tofu). I got a side of Halmoni Dumplings (pork, zucchini, tofu, kimchi, cabbage), a jar ofCucumber Kimchi, as well as a jar of Napa Kimchi to bring home. The food was delicious and my order could have been sharedbetween two people. I will be revisiting to place orders in the future. Ho?cake (crispy bun filled with heavenly pork belly, kimchi hot sauce) is next on my list of foods to try.
