Description

Nestled in Crown Heights, this cozy Thai spot wins fans with authentic, flavorful dishes — coconut soup, mock duck, curry puffs and drunken noodles — plus a lively bar and nearly constant happy hour. Service is often prompt and portions generous, with indoor and outdoor seating that suit solo diners, couples and families. However, several patrons report troubling billing and service incidents, including an alleged automatic 18% charge and confrontational staff behavior, issues that warrant caution before visiting.

BEWARE…To whom ever reading this review . There’s a 18% charge that is added to your bill sadly if you are BLACK /African American ... yess you read correctly. Sadly me and my Caucasian friend that lives in the area put it to a test. And she was not charge 18% at the end of her bill. Please stop the RACISM………. This restaurant is an excellent choice for solo diners, couples, and families alike. The food is served promptly, the staff is friendly, and the quality is consistently impressive. It’s conveniently located and frequented by locals from all walks of life, making it a vibrant place to enjoy a meal. I highly recommend this spot, especially if you’re visiting the nearby park, as it’s just a short walk away. They also offer a fantastic happy hour with a wide variety of strong drink options!

1. You don't know my budget to assume I should tip more than I did. 2. It's unacceptable to throw my money. 3. I don’t care how much the bill was; it's wrong to expect people to give more just because they spent a certain amount. I can't help but wonder if she acted this way because a white family came in and she felt that my tip wasn’t sufficient, trying to create a scene. I refused to give her the reaction she wanted. I'm tempted to say I won't return, but I really enjoy their food. However, if I see her again, I will definitely walk out. She's typically there on the days I visit this side of town, so it seems like I won’t be coming back anytime soon! Thanks for ruining what was otherwise a great experience!

The food was amazing! I ordered the Panang Curry with tofu, and it was one of the most flavorful dishes I’ve tasted in a long time. The person I was with had the Eggplant Basil with rice noodles, and that was equally delicious. I can’t wait to return and try more! As for vegetarian options, there are plenty of fantastic choices available, including appetizers, curries, noodle dishes, and fried rice!
