Amazing!! Honestly never had sesame chicken that tastes this fresh. If you want Chinese food that isn't processed and has a ton of added sugar in the sauces, this is it. Whole pieces of white meat chicken, very lightly breaded for a little crunch. Also had the pork Bao buns--incredible. So light and fluffy and the pork was tender with the perfect savory sauce. My first time having takeout Chinese food and not feeling bloated too full after. Will definitely be back when I'm in the Gowanus area. Great service as well :
I just love this place. Used to eat here weekly. Its modernized take on takeout is perfect, it tastes exactly like what it says it's supposed to be
Two entrees delivered a short while ago ended up in the garbage. This was a first time order with Michael Pings; they have been in the Gowanus area since 2010. We thought why not since it is close by but I don't share others' opinions here. One order was Chicken with Broccoli. This was strips of chicken with broccoli immersed in an oily brown, and salty sauce. It was actually swimming in this sauce. Just awful. The other order was Sweet and Sour Chicken. This entree was deep fried in a thick flour coating with a sauce that was also salty. The menu didn't mention that this dish is deep fried. I've had Sweet and Sour Chicken elsewhere that was simply stir fried. I dont know what this food is Chinese it is not. Never again.
