Where else but Gowanus could you find a spacious dining room with built-in grills and a cozy cocktail lounge next door? I have celebrated many birthdays here, as the menu and table set-up are perfect for group meals. You can also continue the night with drinks and karaoke in the private back rooms. The grill menu is not as extensive as KTown, but it will definitely satisfy your cravings. The Galbi is tender and flavorful, and the grilled pork belly dipped in soy paste packs a delicious umami punch. I especially enjoyed the addition of shiso leaves for wrapping, adding an herby touch to the meal. The Pajeon here is my favorite compared to other places, with a light and crispy texture that is still chewy. Before leaving, we indulged in a refreshing bowl of hibiscus bingsu granita, topped with a variety of garnishes. A perfect way to end the evening on a bright and cool note before stepping back out into the humid night.

The decor and interior design at Insa are executed exceptionally well, receiving a perfect 10/10 for ambiance. The food was incredibly delicious, with generous portions and some of the best galbi I've ever had. This restaurant is a great place for a group of friends to relax, enjoy some beers, and indulge in tasty pajeon and Korean BBQ.

The food was good, not great. The drinks were also good. So many young kids running around, it made for a dining experience I do not wish to repeat
