Pa... read more Pretty stunned by the days-old coffee cake slice. Dry, tough, clearly stale. Took two bites and threw it in the trash. Also, $15 for that plus an iced latte. Packaged pastry from the bodega would have been fresher. If you can't sell fresh baked goods, don't sell them. By the way, the people working here always seem particularly miserable. No one should be thrilled to be at work, but they're always especially beleaguered. Seems like a pretty direct reflection of management/ownership conditions.Skipping it from now on.

I feel safe, just like in al... read more This is actually my fourth time coming to this brunch spot, and I feel so happy because they treat us the way we should be treated. I feel safe, just like in all of New York, since I’m Latino and my spouse is American. We come here to eat, and we’re respected and feel at home. The food is delicious, the service is absolutely amazing, and the coffee is divine. The coffee pitchers, the plates, that Mediterranean touch is spectacular, and I think there’s a bit of a Russian influence, but I’m not sure if I’m right. I love it. The people are very kind, the tables are great, everything is clean and delicious, and the flavors are incredible. I highly recommend it.
