We ordered several items to share family-style, and everything was fantastic. The happy hour deal with beer and dumplings for $10 is a great bargain, and the dumplings were outstanding.

If you enjoy authentic Sichuan cuisine, give the spicy options at General Deb's a try; they're not as hot as you might expect. The portion sizes could be improved, as seen in the pictures. Overall, it was not a bad meal! The fortune cookie was fantastic—possibly the best I've ever had. The atmosphere was really cozy. If time and distance aren’t concerns, you might want to take your $18 entrée to Chinatown for a more intense experience.

Wow, the Sichuan flavors are incredible! The food is fantastic—I especially enjoyed the dumplings, cauliflower, and pork. This cozy spot has a welcoming bar atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit!

A really fantastic spot. Greatly crafted cocktails, tasty food, a relaxed atmosphere, and a complimentary fortune cookie to finish. Appetizer: smashed cucumbers. They were super crisp, marinated in chili oil with plenty of garlic—delicious. Main: Three pepper chicken. A signature dish for a reason—perfectly spiced without overwhelming heat. Drink: Rye. I loved it, but be aware—it’s like a smoky, spicy Manhattan and quite strong. If that’s your style, it’s spot on. The staff was friendly and attentive. Definitely coming back!

Finally got a chance to try General Deb's last night. My boyfriend and I ordered three dishes: the long beans, Dan Dan noodles, and a fried chicken and rice dish (I forgot the name). We really wanted to enjoy the food, but unfortunately, it was overwhelmingly salty. I'm all for well-seasoned dishes, but this was excessively salty to the point that it was hard to eat. The flavors and spice were excellent, but the saltiness was just too much. It's a shame because Bushwick is known for great food, and this spot could be a fantastic addition if they fix this one problem.
