Description

Nestled near Newkirk Plaza in Ditmas Park, this cozy, beautifully decorated neighborhood café serves standout small-batch coffee, inventive sandwiches and pastries, and a chilled, chatty atmosphere. Friendly, witty baristas and quirky touches — a giant goldfish and dog treats — make it a local favorite for mornings and casual work sessions. Expect limited seating, a small rotating food menu that can sell out, and prices that some find steep.

Fantastic local café! Our group ordered cold brew, pour-overs, and a latte, and everything was delicious.

The prices here are incredibly outrageous. A large latte costs $9.25! I couldn't bring myself to pay that much for coffee, so I opted for a small cup, which was also ridiculously overpriced. It was scalding hot and had a burnt flavor. Meanwhile, Café Madeline on Courtelyou charges $5.50 for a large latte that actually tastes great. I really don't understand why there is nearly a $4 difference and why the owner believes this pricing is reasonable for this neighborhood.

Coffee Mob is a hipster-hangout coffee place, and I mean that in the best way! Their coffee is excellent. They have really interesting and tasty pastries, and a menu of small but scrumptious empanadas. They have a giant pet goldfish, who keeps outgrowing his tank. They have doggie treats available on shelves at dog height. The service is at the counter, but generally very good. So nice to have a non-Starbucks place in the neighborhood! The atmosphere is chill, and people often work from their tables.

The hot coffee is just mediocre for $4, which is the same price as a handcrafted espresso drink. However, the small and cozy location is a nice touch.

I honestly think their prices are too expensive for this neighborhood.I ordered small black iced coffee no extra milk etc) and they charged me $6.00….I mean, waaaaay overpriced.
