It's a fast food restaurant, but the chicken sandwich I ordered was surprisingly delicious.
The food was tasty, although it was slightly greasy. It was convenient to have a Wendy's nearby.
I’ve only been to this Checkers once, so my experience may only reflect the staff working that night. However, I can confidently say it was better than my typical Checkers encounters, which often feel unpleasant and frustrating. The woman at the drive-thru was clear in her communication and maintained a respectful demeanor, which I found refreshing—almost like “New York Nice.” Unlike many other Checkers locations, they didn’t claim to be out of various menu items, suggesting they were well-prepared. I generally try to steer clear of fast food, but if you find yourself craving a late-night indulgence, I would recommend this Checkers with higher expectations than you might have for other locations.
There is a woman, whom I believe to be the manager, and she is truly outstanding. She makes sure your order is accurate and is both friendly and well-informed.
During my visit to this restaurant, the Baconzilla Combo stood out as the best part of my meal. Unfortunately, I was let down by the fries, which were limp, and my drink, which tasted watered down despite my request for light ice. The Chicken Bites Box Combo was underwhelming at best—overcooked and with too little chicken. As for the Vanilla Shake, it was mostly whipped cream from a can, with just a small amount of milk mixed in, making it more like a cup of liquid whipped cream than a real shake. Overall, I would give this restaurant two stars, though I wish I could rate it two and a half. I might consider ordering the burger again, but I’m uncertain about trying anything else on the menu.
