Catfish offers a mixed experience, with some diners enjoying the upbeat ambiance, affordable prices, and standout dishes like shrimp appetizers and mac and cheese, while others found disappointments in dishes like the meatloaf, gumbo, and sandwiches. The service received mixed reviews, with some praising the staff and others finding the food and atmosphere lacking. They have no fish (at least when we go) but the other foods are delicious! I hope to come back and try the po' boy!

The food was absolutely delicious. We arrived as a party of three and were seated right away. Our server was attentive without being intrusive; he offered helpful suggestions and accommodated a request for a side dish replacement for one of our guests. We ordered the jambalaya, shrimp and grits, country fried steak, boudin balls, and jalapeño cornbread. Everything was fantastic, and we all plan to return!

I recently visited this restaurant again and ordered a catfish po-boy along with a side salad. My two friends opted for the pulled pork with chips. We also decided to share some mac and cheese.

If you love New Orleans cuisine and are living in Brooklyn, your choices can be quite limited. Luckily, I live in a neighborhood that offers two fantastic restaurants inspired by NOLA's culinary delights.
