Our drinks at Bar Basic were quite good and reasonably priced, our food was OK one of the dishes came out less hot than I would have expected and the tacos were on the pricey side for the quantity of food. The outdoor space is quite cute when the weather permits outdoor dining. View all feedback.

Literally just walked out after asking to sit outside as a single diner, she said sure seat yourself... They were not even busy and I waited almost 25 minutes for no greeting no water nothing. Two lady’s with baby strollers walked in after me and I noticed they already had drinks on their table and the server was placing their food! I stood up and walked in and waved them down like what the hell? She just shrugged at the front desk and looked at me. I sat back down and waited a few more minutes NOTHING. I used to like this place but SERVICE MEANS EVERYTHINGGGGGG!!! As a person in service myself I’m shocked and deeply disappointed. It may be a good idea to retrain your staff. Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Delicious mexican food and very nice service
This place is ideal for a fast bite to eat. The food is tasty and the prices are quite reasonable.

I would rate this restaurant 4.5 stars. The $7 margarita during happy hour is an excellent value. The place is quite small, and it felt a bit understaffed when I visited during happy hour. I found it strange that there was a bartender present, yet no room for them to maneuver. While I appreciated the deal, I don't think I'd come back by myself; it's definitely more of a spot for catching up with a friend. I'm eager to return to sample their food!

I went to Basic for burgers and beer. The atmosphere was fantastic, and the staff were amazing. My burger was delicious. We also tried the po' boy and some tacos, and everyone agreed they were tasty. I definitely recommend stopping by for great food, beer, and excellent service.
Nice little spot, though it can be tricky to reach by car given the Park Slope location. The atmosphere is friendly, with both indoor and outdoor seating available—either in the back patio or on the street. The menu is straightforward and reasonably priced, offering enough variety without being overwhelming. The separate drink menu is also simple and well-curated. Service was attentive, and portions ranged from adequate to generous. My pulled pork sandwich was flavorful, though slightly on the salty side. The iced cappuccino was more like a light iced coffee, served in a Mason jar with a bit too much ice. Despite these minor points, I would still consider returning and recommend the place to others.
The food and drinks at this restaurant were excellent. However, we had to wait quite a while for our drinks since the bartender was preoccupied with chatting with friends. On the bright side, the waitstaff was very friendly. I've been to this restaurant on weekends before, and everything, including the service, was outstanding.

I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant! The burger and tacos were truly exceptional. Unfortunately, the drinks did not impress me as much. The Bloody Mary fell short of expectations and didn't taste like a classic version at all. It had an excess of ice and was quite bland. I would suggest opting for a beer instead. Overall, I would give this restaurant a rating of 6.5 out of 10.

The signature cocktails and food was ok. We ordered appetizers and entrees and everything was brought out at the same time which is a no no. There was barely any room on the table and by the time we got to entree, it was no longer hot. The service was not good at all. The server was busy sitting at the bar on her phone and chatting with the bartender. I felt like I was bothering her to ask for water and napkins. This place needs to better manage the staff.
This restaurant has a relaxed atmosphere with friendly staff. I only had a quick drink, but I wish it had more flavor and was less watered down. However, it is a consistently cool spot. I may try their food next time since the reviews are positive. I appreciate the spacious and airy interior, as well as the outdoor patio in the back.
The tacos at this restaurant are incredible. I enjoyed the al pastor taco, while my friend had the avocado BLT. We both loved our choices.
Bar Basic is an amazing spot for grabbing a drink! They also feature live music and have a very welcoming atmosphere. Personally, I believe they serve the top margarita in Park Slope. Kendall, the bartender, is exceptionally friendly and makes the most delicious margaritas in the area!

I can't believe how delicious the food is at this restaurant! My friends and I went for brunch and enjoyed both the food and drinks. Everything was fantastic! The staff was attentive and full of energy. I will definitely be returning to try out their lunch and dinner menus.
Delicious and great service. Our five-headed party tried the quinoa and cale salad, pulled pork sandwiches with a wonderful butternut quash soup and the side salad and shrimp tacos. Everything perfectly composed. Even our choir children loved his Cheeseburger!
The wine selection is excellent, and the outdoor seating has heating, making it quite comfortable. I enjoyed the Impossible Burger, and the fish and chips were also impressive—not too greasy and not too dry, just right. I think of it as the perfect fried fish. My friends, however, weren't as excited about their meals.
Bar Basic is fantastic! It's our favorite spot for tasty food, great drinks, and outstanding service. The vibe is relaxed with a trendy Brooklyn feel, making it one of the best places around. We recently held our engagement party there, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure it was a memorable occasion for us and our guests. We absolutely love this place and highly recommend giving it your support!
Wow! The Happy Hour Mai Tais were deliciously strong and definitely not watered down—definitely worth trying! The nachos were among the best I've had in a long time! The restaurant features a charming outdoor terrace seating area in the back. While the ambiance may not be overly fancy, it has a laid-back and fun vibe.

Came back for their delicious buttermilk fried chicken burger with herb fries with beautiful patio, great outdoor seating and great selections of brunch menu.
This small and cozy restaurant offers an innovative and delicious Tex/Mex menu. The service was top-notch, but reservations may be necessary depending on the day and time. However, the prices are on the higher side.
I made a reservation for 3 people, but the staff would not seat us at a table meant for 4. I explained that I would be bringing my dog and we needed a table near an open window because we could not eat indoors. They refused and dismissed us. It was a very simple request. Not good, guys.
Had a great experience this weekend
Nice service, nice vibes, delicious food. My margarita cocktail and espresso martini was perfect and decorated beautifully by my bartender. It was fantastic experience, I will be back soon.
