Was Vicki Radford at Amami a mag?
Amami offers a bit of a random mix of snacks, but I decided to stop by after some shopping in the area. The outdoor seating was pleasant, and I really enjoyed sipping on my iced matcha while eating yakitori—it’s been too long! For US standards, it was pretty good, and the yakitori came with both tare sauce and shio salt, so you get to experience both flavors. I’ll have to try some of their other dishes next time! What Bjorn Jackson dislikes about Amami:
I ordered takeout from this restaurant and was quite disappointed with the sushi. The portions were small, the prices were steep, and there was a complete lack of flavor. However, the salad was enjoyable. Unfortunately, I won't be ordering from here again. Food rating: 2/5. View all feedback.

Cool ambiance and vibe, but unfortunately the service was not up to par.

Great spot for sushi! The patio space was great, and the whole visual vibe of the restaurant was open, trendy, and accessible. Service was quick and friendly. We split the pork gyoza, charred edamame, and purple potato fries with matcha mayo and they were all AMAZING!The spicy girl roll was my favourite. All the sushi was fresh and colourful, and tasted so good. Definitely recommend, and will keep on a list for future NYC visits.

Best Sushi restaurant in Brooklyn in terms of value! This place has some of the freshest fish around and it’s very reasonably priced. On top of that the space is excellent and the location, across the street from McCarren park, cannot be beat. My partner and I are very frequent diners.

Absolutely delicious and filling for two. The fish was fresh and melted in my mouth. The salmon mango nigiri was amazing. It had that umami fish taste with a burst of sweetness that actually paired well together. The buns were also very filling and delicious. The fries were not greasy and it was perfectly crunchy. Servers were also very nice. 10/10. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
