We enjoyed a bottle... read more Traveling home after visiting family in Wyoming, we spent a night in Brookings, S.D., and had a really nice time at The Pheasant Restaurant. We enjoyed a bottle of Malbec along with perfectly prepared grass-fed bison and asparagus, and chicken breast withmushrooms, Swiss and mashed potatoes on the side. And for the final treat: salted caramel cheesecake. Our server, Mady, was asweetheart. We also appreciated the excellent wine service by the bartender, whose name we didn’t catch. All in all, a greatfind miles and miles away from home.

The severs where nice but we made a reservation and where seated 15 minutes after it was set for and the table was wet but when we first got there we had no idea where to go, if we seatourselves, I'm guessing they where short staffed for the reason for no greater. We ordered 6 wing for a appetizer and it took 40minutes to get to the table. My drink tasted like there orange juice was bad, the prime rid was hard to cut with a dull knife. Ihad there special Burger with bison it was so flavor less just blah. We decided to have dessert and the cheesecake was frozensolid spent 85 dollars for 1 app, 2 entree, 1 dessert, 2 drinks not worth it at all

I brought a colleague from the UK here and was very excited to have the bison. It should be noted that it is a Chinese Ringneck pheasant, but it'sadapted well to South Dakota! The food is great, jazz music on Mondays is nice when it's available. This is one one of thebest places in Brookings!

Everything was delicious, and the st... read more We had the Cafe Style Hot Beef Waffle, the Uptown Farmhouse Breakfast Waffle, and Elderflower Mimosas for brunch yesterday. Everything was delicious, and the staff was great. The restaurant also has this neat little room that you have to check out,where you can sample fresh balsamics and olive oils. The peach balsamic is amazing!
