She constantly checked up on my table, kept my drink full, and made sure I had everything I needed for my meal. The general manager, Lisa, also checked in and made sure I was doing fine. Air conditioning was working and I was a bit chilly so they popped on the fireplace, so cozy. I always have a great experience here. Pancake of the month was delicious and a **** mary flight is always a must. I will be back to try the **** Mary burger before it is gone!

I ordered the chicken and waf... read more For how expensive this place is, I expected better. We ordered the classic beignets and the plates that came with it looked dirty. I ordered the chicken and waffles. The waffles and fried were good but the chicken was very dry and it wasn’t seasoned at all which made it very bland. My sister described it as if the chicken were a white boy that’s what it would taste like. And the side was burnt. The waitress forgot that I asked for a side of ranch, but I just asked again. Every time I go here, the service is bad. Sometimes kind of rude and sometimes just very forgetful. There were only 2 tables when we went this time, 1 other table and mine, but the waitress kept forgetting stuff. As soon as she walked up to us she didn’t even greet us or ask us what to drink. She just said are you guys ready to order or not yet. She wasn’t rude but isn’t the first thing as a waitress to ask what we want to drink. She was very nice but my sister ordered the biscuit and gravy Benedict but instead was served the biscuit and gravy a la Carte with special pancakes on the side. It wasn’t a big deal so we didn’t say anything. Now let’s talk about the special pancakes. They looked absolutely horrendous. I would have been embarrassed to serve that or let that go out on the floor even. My 12 year old sister wasn’t even excited to eat it. My mom said her eggs Benedict hollandaise sauce was pretty mayonnaise-y too. The food is always a hit or miss. Also the windowsill I was sitting besides was pretty filthy. My recommendation to them would be to make sure staff is paying attention and not chatting and to season the chicken. As well as if you’re gunna have expensive food maybe make it look more presentable. Not to mention I had to ask the waitress to give us refills and when she did, she didn’t even refill my moms water. ??
